Hello from San Diego.

We are a family of 4 adults and will be in Ephesus for one day, mid-May. Should we arrange for a car tour to Ephesus in advance? Or, is it easy to get a car when the ship docks in Kusadasi?

After paying 80 euros for 4 adults (which dropped from 120 euros), the taxi driver dropped us off at the high side of ruin and picked us up at the lower side of the ruin. We did not have a tour guide but we did purchase a book (3 euros)at the entrance before we enter the ruin. Yes, taxi was easy to get and we found out that we pay too much as some of the cruise passengers were offered between 40 to 50 euros for the same trip. Just make sure they pick you up on the low side and pay him when you are back in town.
