According to the NCL Dream itinerary, it will dock overnight from 7 PM in Copenhagen and leave the following noon.To those that went on the NCL Dream and went around Copenhagen on their own, can you tell me how early you started your walk the following day to see the town? What did you see? Can you give a sample of your itinerary in Copenhagen? I would really like to see the town and the HOHO bus doesn't start until 10 AM and if I wait for that, it would really cut my time in this port even more. I am trying to see how I could go around this town to see the sights and still make it to the ship at least before noon. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks. Smile

I recommend the changing of the guards at the Royal Palace (Amalienborg) which took place every day at noon. If HM the Queen is in its with the royal band (music).

Copenhagen is easily explored on foot. There is an excellent walking guide located here;

http://www.europeportreviews.com/Copenhagen.htm

and there is lots to see as you will see by the pictures located there as well. I would plan on having dinner in Copenhagen and exploring the city at night and then leaving early in the morning to continue your exploration. It is easily traversed on foot and you should be able to see a lot before your noon departure.

Have a great day in Copenhagen.

Tom, the walking route that you have in the port review, how long did it take for you to walk that route? How early did you start your walk from the ship? Thank you everyone. Smile

Of course it depends on how many stops you make along the way, but you can easily walk the entire distance from Tivoli to the ship in 45 to 60 minutes or so if you did not stop. I would leave at the crack of dawn if you want to maximize your stay in Copenhagen. Once the coffee shops open on Stroget Street you can enjoy the morning in the heart of the city.

Have a great day!
