Just went on the VOS last week. We did the Palermo city sightseeing tour. Started by driving around the city, then up to Monreale to visit a church. After exploring a bit up there (a fun area) drove back down to the city and visited two more cathedrals. Overall it was a nice overview of the area, and relaxing after three busy days in other ports. The excursion got back to the ship with a couple of hours to spare and plenty of time to walk back into Palermo for lunch and a little shopping. Enjoy the cruise!

Is there much to see in Palermo. How far is the town from the port?
