it is very easy to go by train to Pompeji or Sorrento. The "Linea Napoli-Ercolano-Pompeji-Sorrento" leaves Napoli central station (Piazza Garibaldi) weekdays at AM 8:22, 8:39, 9:09, 9:39, 10:09 and so far. Running time to Ercolano: 19 minutes, to Pompeji 38 minutes and to Sorrent 1 hour and seven minutes. The railways name is "Circumvesuviana".
The ticket fare to Sorrento ist 2,50 Euro one way.In Sorrento, close to the station, is the bus stop SITA for Positano-Praiano-Amalfi (60 Minutes; ticket fare 1,70 Euro.
The Metro del Mare is a hydrofoil. MM2 = Napoli-Positano-Amalfi-Salerno. MM" leaves Naples Beverollo at AM 8.50, arrives at Positano 09:50, at Amalfi 10:15. The boat leaves Salerno at PM 4:45, Amalfi at 5:10, Positano at 5:35 and arrives at Napoli Beverollo at 6:50 PM.
It is nice in Pompeji, but it is a must to visit Herculaneum (Ercolano) The train stop is Ercolano; olny five minutes walk. The stop to Pompeji iss named Pompeji Scavi. The entrance is just at the station. An other must is the Vesuvio. It is overwelming . For informations look to
