Looks like you'll be traveling RT Civitavecchia to naples, Dubrovnik, Venice (overnight), Messina, Barcelona, Cannes, and Livorno. I'm unable to help with these ports, but we have many Members who are familiar with them and can provide assistance.
We plan to book the same cruise in 2009 so please give a review when you return! I am surprised no one has reviewed the Freedom on this site, probably because it isn't even listed yet.

We are a party of ten, four children 5-14 on the same trip. We have never been to these ports but everyone we have been in contact with say the trip is terrific no matter what you do. Everyone tells us it will be hot so be prepared for warm weather.
You are going to be getting on the ship as I am getting off the ship. So my future review will be of no help to you. Also, the ports we visit will be different as our week is a eastern Med. cruise and yours is not.
